Kiyoko's Notes
A beauty serum rich in vitamin C that treats hyperpigmentation and dull skin.
The ultra-gentle and yet intensive serum features 6% vitamin C derivative to suppress excess melanin production to treat and prevent dark marks while brightening skin. Furthermore, it moisturizes dry skin while protecting against environmental damages.
We know it’s called "whitening", but whitening serum does not actually cause your blemishes to fade or your skin to grow paler. All it does is contain ingredients meant to inhibit the production of melanin. In other words, whitening serum should be used as preventive care; if you only use it after you’ve been peppered with freckles and sunspots, then you’re using it too late. The earlier, the better.
Furthermore, though in Japanese beauty, we use the word “bihaku” or “whitening” a lot, perhaps a more suitable translation would be “brightening.” That’s because “whitening” skincare mainly aims to help you maintain an even, luminous complexion.
